New, independent purpose-built studio completed latter part of year
Founder member of Society for Painting of Rural England
Founder member and eventually appointed Project Manager for the establishment of an "Essex Gallery" - potentially a multi-million pound project to establish a new icon gallery for the arts in Essex

Won first major art prize
Made redundant from City of London, decided to retire and take up art professionally

Commenced entering art competitions and exhibitions with a view to expanding artistic involvement

Various tutorials with professional artists through membership of Brentwood Art Society – e.g. Carolyn White, Debra Manifold, Michael Kennedy & Gillian Anderson
